Frost colored vents with black interior?

I got this really cool idea of putting frost-colored air vents into my Max, which has black leather interior. Specifically the outside dash vents and front window defroster vents. I would prefer some sort of aluminum-look to match my AE shifter, but I wonder if frost would look nice. Anyone out there thought the same thing?

i would lean towards brushed aluminum over frost in a black interior.

I keep thinking about doing a brushed alum dash, but what if i dont like it? You know that crap wont come off. Plus most of them are synthetic and fake. My best friend put a 30+ piece rosewood kit in his lexus gs300 and it looks slightly tacky but then again good. But sometimes it is too much woodgrain at times or too much dash pieces. Plus with my new radio setup, it wont look right.

That's one of the main reasons I will not buy a dash kit. I want something that looks OEM, and although I think some dash kits look very nice I know I would be too picky in the long run and may regret any sort of purchase. Maybe I'm hoping for too much.

Has anyone tried painting instead of dash kits? I would think a reputable shop might be able to do a fairly good job color-matching an aluminum look to any part you wanted to be painted.

Ok guys. I like synthetic brushed aluminumn better than real brushed aluminum. Its less shiny. I saw maximadave's car today. His carbon fiber kit looks GREAT ! Email him about it. It is awesome !

Yes, BenBlanco218 painted his black dash silver; I heard that it looks good. Others have tried to follow....
