SES light, Please help

I clean TB this weekend and now I'm getting. Car runs better and I don't see, feel or hear any problems. Is there any way I can get the light reset. I don't have time to drop a car at the dealership, plus I'll have to put an OEM air intake back on.
Any help will be appreciated.

You can reset the light by unplugging the negative terminal on your battery for a few hours. I'd take it to the dealer myself though. My SES light is on my Max right now too. Or just drive it around until you have time to take it in. Or you can just cut the wire that goes to the SES light, then you'll never have to worry about it again.

Not a good idea...how would you ever know when a 'real' problem was brewing....

Re: SES light, Please help

I just disconected a battery, left my lights on and hit brakes for few seconds. came back in 5 minutes and light was off.
With all this talk about MAF made me worry. I try to check out TSB on it but can't find it. There is one but the link doesn't work.
If anyone has it, please email me at nika@owc.net
I'm gonna wash my filter and want to have one in case oil f..s up the sensor.
Thanks
Nik

just wondering, how do to clean the throttle body? just open it up and spray some cleaner and then start the engine?

can was off but warm. I took the air intake off, opened a butterfly valve and spraid the cleaner. I used a white cotton prewashed towel and a soft tooth brush to clean it. You could see LOT of resedue on the towel. Afterwards I started the car. It took me few turns to start. Put back the air intake and voila.

i was always told to reconnect everything before starting the car back up. thats the only part of the process that i see might have thrown a code.

so u didnt connect the intake when start the car? that can be one possible reason of the SES light. when the MAF meter is not reading anything b/c u disconnect the intake, it will initiate an SES light.
