Finally got the mod bug

Well after a year and a half of snooping around this board I have finally purchased my first major mod. (Not counting the RSB which should come stock on the car)
I just purchased 4th gen AGX struts w/dustboots and 4th gen Eibach springs. From www.southwestautoworks.com, all for 675 shipped...not a bad price judging from the prices other people are getting them for. They should be here by friday and I'll probably get them installed next week sometime. Also getting Bridgestone RE950's this weekend, After I have a little "fun" with my worn out RE92's. :

Anywayz just had to share with you guys and thanks to all of you that helped me decide on what setup to go with..

How'd you manage to hold off for a year and a half? I just got a 2K2 a week ago. Most likely get a RSB pretty quick. Any problems (clunking) with that bar? Stillen would be nice but $$$..

Regime, are you going to modify the AGX struts yourself or do you have a shop to do the work?

Bluesbrekr, if you're getting clunking noises on the Addco RSB. Move the rear brackets roughly 4-1/2" inwards. That'll solve your problem.

Thanks for the tip, soundmike. I haven't installed a RSB yet, but soon. Had read that some installations experienced that sound....just wanted to know how to avoid it when I install mine.

I am not sure how I have stayed away from modding for so long, Mostly lack of time and the fact that I am ALWAYS fixing my friend's cars up and just never got around to mine.
Yes I had the clunking but after I made some custom brackets I was able to stop it... the problem seemed to be that the U-bolt that came with the Addco had a bit of slop (this was after they redesigned them and sent me new ones that actually fit over the trailing-arm) Try tighting the brackets a bit more, be careful because the ublots really aren't strong at all. I would suggest taking a trip to the hardware store and getting some nice steel plate and hardened nuts and bolts. took me about 20 minutes to make the bracket with a drill and a cut-off grinder.

P.S. Congrats on your new car Bluesbrekr.

Kind of a mix. My friend is a mechanic at a local shop and we are both going to be working on the install. But I will give him the credit cause he is a cool guy and doing it for free for me.

Thanks for the info on the u-bolts and brackets. Sure would like to get that RSB soon, but probably happen for a few weeks. That's OK, though...I still have less than 1000 miles on the vehicle, and won't 'push it' till after the 1000.
