Hi Everyone,

This was going to be one of the gifts I asked my girlfriend for. Need suggestions on which one is better, who can install it, and how much they cost !

You assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I have a viper 550esp remote start on my car, works flawlessly. But thats another alarm as well. $500 bones

Try the "valet "car start, $200 bucks installed, circuit city

ain't gonna be cheap.......

Due to the anti theft chip in the key you cant get away with a basic starter. They need to install one that by-passes the chip and they can get kinda pricey. I noticed most run around $300

Clifford in mine, who needs to bypass the chip when you can just remove it from the key , that way if you lose a key you can get one cut for $5 instead of $100.

I've thought about remote start, but won't bypassing the chip for the remote startup module do away with the chip security on the car? ...seems like it might make it easier to steal or am I mistaken?

I agree image you pu in the remote starter and one morning your pressing the button and waiting for the sweet sound of your baby turning, over and waiting and waiting and waiting...

An alarm gives far better protection than the chip ever does.
