Just installed Maxspeed Springs

Wizzamax (Tracy) and myself spent over 4 hours doing this (thanks, man )The ride is alot smoother compared to the Eibachs I had on my 2000 SE. Click on my homepage for more updated pics

Originally I wanted Eibachs. Then I settled on H&R's. Now with all the good feedback on Maxspeeds, for half the price, I could get 2 sets! Still debating the JIC's though...

I ordered my springs with the last GD a few months ago but never installed them yet. In fact, I never opened the box! For all I know, I could have a box full of rocks.

Anyway, how much drop would you say you got? I know what the specs say, but really life measurements are what counts. Also, you said the ride is smoother than Eibach - but is the ride firmer than stock? I really don't like that floating feeling.

Dave, your car looks nice! The drop looks sweet.. every max owner needs to get rid of the SUV stance. Also, I like the look of the 2k-2k-2k1 SE/AE tails with your Majestic Blue. First time I've seen them since you had them put on at the SLAP show. I'm just trying to imagine them with emax's tail light mod.

I didn't measure it but I will measure a stock 2K2 at the dealer next time I get my oil change to see how much the drop is.

Looks sweet. Maxspeeds are my next mod...so I should have mine on in a month or so. Quick questions: Your install time seems pretty low, was it relatively easy? What tools did you need?

When I first put them on, the front looked higher than the rear.. I was like WTF !.... Give it a month for it to sit completely. I think they are the best for the buck spring I have ever had on any car !

I told you so Dave...

Wizzamax is definately the shiznit!!

I've gotten MANY compliments on the drop itself from honduh driver's

There's a neighbor with an acura who's jealous of my $95 drop he claims that it's better than his $300 drop

? 4hr is low? seems high. That's 1hr for each corner.

Agreed.

Should be 30mins for front struts, 45mins for the first rear (since you have to pull the interior)...then 30mins for the other side).

This is a 2.5hr job if you know what you're doing.

6hr job if it's your second time ever working on a car.

Of course, I have air tools...
