Do a search, there are plenty of people with modified 2k2s. I think the most shown is about 225hp to the wheels.

By next spring I will have atleast 250 HP to the wheels. As of right now WillSE has dynoed the most, he got 230 FHWP, I question the accuracy of his dyno(it seems way to high for his setup) though. I did 221 FWHP and my car was running crappy because I had my vacume lines on backwards(by accident).

What did the car get at the wheels, I assume 250ish. I saw my first 350 in person in Manassas, VA . Very beautiful car, the girl driving it was very happy with her new purchase!!!!

There was a guy here in Phoenix with a 2k2 Altima, and he had a dyno graph showing 241hp at the wheels. He had all the bolt on's though. He is on Altimas.net, I think his handle is "Altimat"

Speaking of Octane, do you think our VQ's would also gain the same amount of HP if we use 100 on it?

Would make sense whenever we go to the track

slight gains perhaps.... but using that high octance can be bad if used too often....

Dino Ferrari always tried for a golden ratio of 100hp per liter, without forced induction.

i say that u can get around 300 to the wheels....wait....are you saying on just bolt mods.??? cuz if ur not, u can always have things done...cost alot but u can,...things like extrude hone the intake and cylinders, get like titaniun crank shaft, forged pistons, coat the heads and valves, bore it out, and all that crap...but then it wouldn't be a true vq35....if you guys think im just an idiot, than...what about the f1 cars.....how they cranking so much power and reving up to like 12 or 14 RPM???? oh....u can also run on nitrous methan~!!! well....u can't....buh if ur rich enough u can....

I read that and was wondering about it...

When I read it in SCC, it seemed odd that they didn't try to see what the gains might have been with just some 93 octane. I know they can't get it in Cali anymore, but surely they could scrounge some up.
The reason I say this is because those power gains might have been available with 93 octane. Why pay for 100 octane when you just need 93? Until we see someone test with 93, we won't know if this is possible.

Edit: I had Freshalloy.com in another window, and I just read that the Japanese tuners are flocking to the Z33(350Z). Someone had a picture of one that Top Secret was testing at the Ebisu Circuit. Mine's is working on one as well, and plans to reach 350hp NA.
A while ago, I also saw a Skyline(G35) that Blitz had been working on. Recently, they've been putting centrifugal blowers on their cars, so they might have had that in mind for the Skyline too. Who knows?
Some of these mods could be adaptable to the Maxima's VQ.

If Possible that would be very awesome. Nothing like keeping up with the sport car standard "vette"

oh by the way nice Signiture!

You aren't looking at all the problems, just because you can make power at 12000rpms doesn't mean its the best idea. Take the S2000 for example, you could increase redline of the S2000 beyond 9000rpms to lets say 12000, and increase the aggressiveness of the VTEC cam lobes to make power at that RPM, and rebuild the head to handle the high revs without valvefloat. Now you would have an S2000 that revs to 12000rpms and probably pushes the envelope of 300hp. Sounds valvetraingreat, but now heres the problem, stronger for higher revs means stiff valve springs, make the springs too stiff, and you will have idling problems. Titanium alloy is weaker than forged steel, its MUCH lighter tho, and in F1 they sacrifice the strength of one material for the lightness of the other. Simply getting higher compression doesnt always yield larger amounts of power, take the Integra Type R for example, the JDM ITR has 11.1:1 compression and US ITR has 10.6:1 yet the power difference is less than 10 horsepower. The rest of your ideas are sound, although I dont think the VQ35DE can handle a very much larger bore, extrude hone and port polishing and such are great ideas for more power for NA or FI applications tho.
