with custom work it is. it would be expensive though. you'd need a custom downpipe that splits to two exhausts, crush in the spare tire well, and make a cutout of the rear bumper for the 2nd exhaust.

You both are right, depends if you want the real way or just for looks.

Isn't the "just for looks" way less efficient? Also, if it were the "true" duals, how would it sound, more high-pitched?

to make it a true dual u'll need two cats and seperate everything from the headers on. prolly be able to run two 2" pipes or smaller.i personally don't think it's worth the time.

..or we could make custom headers that dont route to the same piping.

Will a true dual get better hp gains than a y-pipe? If so, how much and is it noticeable?

Hate to sound harsh, but hell no. Dual will do nothing but give you looks.

You won't get jack squat from a dual exhaust. Unless you are running some major boost. Don't waste your time with dual.

sounds like two 3 cyl engines to me, beats me why anyone would bother

the 300zx i think uses a 1:2 catalytic converter setup u could try that instead of the dual cats because i dont think it'll fit underneath the car

I really like the way an integrated dual exhaust looks, like on the Altima 3.5SE. Just not sure if it's worth time, $$, and performance loss...
