Coolant change

Has anyone done there own coolant change? Did you also change the radiator hoses and thermostat? How long did it take you and where do you take the coolant (old) to get disposed of properly? Thanks.

I wouldn't change anything unless it needed it IMO. If the hoses are still supple and holding their form w/o cracking or bulging, I say leave 'em. Same with the thermostat, unless it's taking along time to warm up, it's probably fine.

Unless you have a shop thats willing to take your coolant, I would pour it down a sink or toilet. That's considered a sanitary disposal as opposed to pouring it out in the environment. Hope that helps...
