Got mine today. Keep waiting slow pokes....

This thing is huge. Now I totally understand why Ice was saying it isn't a pretty install.

I will have it on by this weekend.

I would recommend doing the install different than Ice did.

I tried things his way but found it too much of a hastle. I actually picked up a bag of 1.5" Zinc metal screws. I took the 4 corners out and just put the pedal where I wanted it and put them in.

It looks just the same and was wayyyy easier. I took the carpet out and looked back there, what a pain trying to match up on that sorry metal plate. Just screw that bad boy in.

I will try to post pics sometime, I havent had my roomate around to borrow the Digi.

So has anybody else gotten the 350Z dead pedal installed? Also, anybody planning to do a writeup on that? Thanks

Its not clean and its not easy. All you need to do is cut the backing down to about a 1/2 inch and then install it as Ice explains. Took me about 3 hrs after playing around with it. If you have more questions, ask away!!

Just Call Dave B at the number he listed. Mine has been on order. I ordered mine right after Ice (Dave told me), but I didnt even know he had ordered it before that, I thought I would be the trailblazer.

ICE - You have the same Idea I did

I just screwed em in too. I used a 2.5" black screw, 2 1.75" sheet metal screws, and 2 2" sheet metals for the top as the top extends just a little further off the carpet. It feels solid on there. I just drilled em straight in. Looks damn good on the frost as I'm sure you've seen in my pics

Town North: David B

I too was looking for this part to match AE pedals. However, I was mistakenly asking the folks in parts to look this up for the AE Max. I did not know this was something off the new Z (had not seen this thread, only pics). Kurt (at Town North) was very helpful in looking for this part, but since I gave him the wrong info, he could not find it. He then called David Burnette (I think I have that right) on his cell as he had already left for the day. David knew the number off the top of his head. Not only that, but on his off hours, sat there and told Kurt where I could find info about installation and such. He deserves some recognition for this because I was going to have to drive way back up there again the next day when he was at work. But he provided this info on his time off. I recommend using Town North Nissan, and David Burnette, for your parts needs. I plan on driving out of my way to go there in the future. Finally, a pleasant visit to a dealership.
