Loose Wire

Ok. I'm driving along and suddenly the speakers on the left side of the car stop working. I press on the brakes and it barely works then stops... I press the brakes hard and all speakers work again, then that stopped working after a day or so... Where should I look to find this loose wire?

If it's the HU why does only one side stop working?

It's happened to other people too. The dealership will try to blame it on CDRs. But it is definitely your HU.

Strange... I took it down to get it fixed and they said all 4 speakers work. Maybe its only when you play CDs? Lemme know.

Is it Bose or not. This happened on my 1999 Dodge with Infinity system. The amp on the back of the right front speaker went out. Since it controlled the back speaker too, the back speaker was also out. I took it to a friend who is a car stereo guru, and we pulled the speaker/amp (all one unit). Hooked up a test speaker to the signal input wire, and viola,it worked. Meant the amp was bad. He just happened to have an extra lying around his work, and we threw it in the next day. No more problems.

Sooo. If you got Bose, you might wanna check your speaker/amp for wich ever on is acting up. Maybe an amp prob. Get it warranteed.
