Air Intake... Or Take if off for service

Ok... I got in a crash because my transverse link (lower control arm) deformed at the weld and cracked under stress. I called Nissan back then and they said there was no recall so I repaired it myself.

Just my luck, I get everything fixed from the last crash and something else happens.

Anyways, got a recall notice in the mail yesterday and I called them up and told them I got in a crash because of the defect and I replaced everything myself because of limited funds and she said to go down and get the recall done and describe what happened when I crashed and if they think it was because of the transverse link they will reimburse me what I bought from Nissan. (Transverse Link & Steering Spindle). They won't cover the aftermarket though (rim & shock). And they will straighten the frame for me.

If all goes well I got a good amount of my money back.

I don't have any bolts in my air box... and I need to take the car down tommorow. Should I just put my frankencar in or should I be paranoid and wait for Dave B to send me bolts?

And my transmission is also dying, I don't know if it was related to the crash or not. Should I tell them about the tranny or should I wait until it starts really screwing up and get it fixed under warranty?

I'm also going to have them check and see if I installed the shocks/springs right... How much do you think they'd charge me?

Your car is an omen. Trade it in for a 2k2 leftover. Maybe you'll come close to breaking even.

I would leave the frankencar at home...

Can't afford a trade-in... I'm kinda screwed. If I get the frame straightened I might trade it in for $17k and get a used 2k2 manual...

who knows. any suggestions are appreciated.
