For those who hate their 2k2 6speed

I just learned a valuble lesson:

I started carpooling to work with a buddy this week. For 4 days, I did not drive my Max, because I live in downtown and I can walk everywhere I need to go after I get off work. I was to the point were I was getting annoyed with the little problems with the max like:

Wind Noise
Various Rattles
Shifter Notch
Clutch Noies

Anyway, I got in the Max today to go eat dinner, and I got goose bumps when I floored the gas, and then the sensation continued when I chirped second, and third. For the rest of the night, all I wanted to do was go drive my car. Suddenly I forgot about all the little problems about this car. I felt the same that I did when I drove the Max off the lot. It was excellent.

The lesson that I learned was to stop worrying about the little things. As long as the car runs and there are no mechanical problems, then F**k it. Enjoy the max for what it is, my '95 max wasn't perfect so why should this one be. Anybody who is feeling the way that I was should stop driving the max for a week, and then you'll love it all over again. There is a special bond between Maxima owners, and that bond shouldn't be "Hey, do you have the wind noise too", It should be "we are two lucky Mo'Fo's to be dirven these badass cars,". I mean really, have you ever seen two owners of stock accords sit around and talk about how cool there cars are.....NO

So the bottom line is that we should just Enjoy our cars the way we did when we first got them.

Sorry this is so long but I needed to tell someone and my GF was lookin at me all wierd like

peace

Applause...

I agree with you 100% I've been through issues with my 2000 but for the money I paid for it, it's a whole lot better than other cars in that price range. Every car has it's problems, that's life.

42k miles...I still love my MAX!

Pretty much. My biggest problem is common among us, rotors. Went through wars with the Service Dept a few times because of it.

Just because the rotors suck doesn't mean the rest of the car does as well. Everything else is golden

Grateful owner

Great thoughts, Bulldawg. Being a new Max owner, I am still on the 'honeymoon'. Yes, there are some issues (as with most vehicles), but the good sure outweighs the bad. For the money, I don't think there is a better vehicle.

Being a perfectionist about my rides, I can get caught up in the 'what's wrong' with it. But then I'll take it out and get some admiring looks or comments and then I realize how cool the Max is, and the satisfaction I get when I drive it.
