After replacing stock brake lines with SS lines why are 3 bottles of motul required? The lines would be drained of all (most) fluid when the SS line go on? Then fill up with motul and bleed the lines from each brake with press and release of the brake pedal and drain "screw"? Basically why are 3 bottles required? How do you know when all the air is out of the lines as well?

once you take the lines out the fluid will just keep running untill there's no more left and then u'll have air throughout your whole system.. that's why you need 3 bottles.. you gotta bleed the system which means u'll waste some fresh fluids.

Please do not put motoul in your car. Even with upgrading to the SS lines, you still have a master cylinder that was set up to run dot 3 specific fluid. There is a chance that your M.C. rings would swell up, since you are using silicone based fluid. You are not racing the car, and dot 3 will work just fine for 99% of the applications. I just don't want to see you spend a butt load of money that you don't have to.

3 bottles though? Doesn't the system need less than one bottle?

Brake Fluid
I agree, Motul isn't necessary for street. Valvoline Synpower works just fine and its low price. It's DOT 4 w/elevated dry & wet boling point. 32oz for a complete bleed and refill in my 2K Max.
