Beating your car?

My friends accused me of beating on my car. Can you believe that? I'm not the type that goes around trying to spin the tires, or make the car drift. But I'll be honest, I drive fast and hard.

My response to them was that I'm driving the Maxima as it was designed to be driven. If I owned a Grand Am (just an example), I'd consider it beating the car because I don't believe it will take it in the long run.

I will say this, I wouldn't buy a used car from myself.

Does anyone else feel like they're 'beating' their car?
