Bang for the Buck????

I've seen many post and replies and so on's and so forths but what I'm really dying to find out is what is out there for the 2K2 that will produce some real A$$ kicking horse power. I know about the Cai and the y-pipes and the so on's and so forth's. The lucky 2k owners can put the SC's and things of this nature. Even an Ecu up grade anything thats of value. Air intakes yeah exhausts yeah but some real power plz let me know!!!!!

You just named every viable mod for the Maxima. What are you asking? Do you want a NASA rocket booster?

Listen guy,

You want alot of HP, your gonna have to spend money behind it. The only thing i can suggest is either NOS, or CAI + Y-pipe + B-Pipe + Full Exhaust System.

I was saying as a 2K2 owner we don't have a SC yet , I guess with the new 3.5 engine things will come in time. What my biggest question is how I can get more from this already powerfull engine even more and not spend over 3G's. I got a little money to waste and I have the mod bug. I purchased the injen intake yeah it's nice looking and my mind and body keep telling me "your going faster that before" of course I'm going faster than before I keep pressing on the gas. Of you owners with the Y-pipe b-pipe set-ups and exhaust how many more ponies are you getting for your dollar!! You know what I'm saying? I know right now alot isn't avalible so should wait or just keep modding till the money is gone!!!!

Choose your mentor, Emax95 with bolt-on power putting roughly 235 (IIRC)hp to the wheels

Or,

SR20DEN with a 100 shot Nitrous kit easily putting 300+ hp at the wheels with torque to go with it.

100 shot NX nitrous kit. More power to the wheels than NOS dry kit. And better engineered products.

You asked how much hp you get from the Y & B pipes. I made a post up a couple days ago outlining my results from WarpSpeed's prototype Y & B pipes with a couple variations and dynos. 21 hp and 23 pounds of torque from the pipes and air filter removal. Take a look: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....hreadid=152799

Aside from nitrous, I would think that a good intake manifold and head porting would give some excellent results along with a cam and headers and of course good exhaust downstream of the headers and a good intake filter. I have not heard of an aftermarket cam available yet so you won't get full advantage of a good set of ported heads and manifold but you will get some good results if done right. Porting is a very cheap mod if you do the work yourself. With $3K you will have money left over.
