Oil pressure light blinking!

Oil pressure light blinking!
I have noticed that my oil light will go off after the bulb check while starting the car. Then, it will come on and blink 1-3 times very quickly. It's not doing this EVERY time while starting..only sometimes. Sometimes it will do it (at start-up) even if the car has only been sitting for a few minutes and started again. Very random.
I had my transmission serviced and an oil change a week ago at a Nissan dealer. I didn't tell them about the oil light until I went out to my car and started it..and it blinks! I went back in and got the tech to come see it for himself. It then blinked at start-up again while he was watching. We got the keys to another 2K Max on the lot and started it to see what it would do....it did not blink.
I didn't have time to have them check it out. I doubt that it is anything serious...maybe just the oil sending unit...which probably wouldn't be covered under warranty. I am about to turn over 39K. Anyone else notice this on their Max?

Mines been doing that since 14K. its just a blip at start up. Its not multiple blinks.. that would concern me. Many have commented about the blip. Its pretty common. Seems like its been there since I went to mobil1 5w-30

time to resurrect this thread from the dead...
I'm guilty of doing the ground wires modification. . . The one thing that i really and truly noticed from doing this modification is that the oil pressure light that used to blinkity-blink on startup is no longer doing that.
I'll leave this for you to speculate... It's just my observations. I'll disconnect the ground wires and see what happens on startup.

Same thing here, but seems to occur intermittently with oil changes. I'm using Amsoil 10W-30 6-month change interval. Since the last oil change a month ago, the oil pressure light doesn't blink at start up. Coincidently, I only put in 3.75 quarts this change. Last change I put in 4.25 quarts and got the blinking oil pressure light. Of course, I have an SC which makes the oil flow path longer, so maybe that's the cause of mine?

I've had exactly the same experience, it blinks once at startup and then it's off. I've been using Nissan oil filters with Mobil1 5w-30 but will experiment with other filters and oil to see if I can get rid of it. Perhaps we can run a poll to see what other people are using if they also get blinks?

It could be the oil you were using.
