I was wondering if darker tint would look good on a 2002 max with frost leather. I was thinking 20%. What do you guys think?

 

I have 35% on polished titanium. You dont want to look ghetto.

 

I think 20% would look really sharp! That's what I plan on getting for my sheer silver.

Oh yeah, has anyone heard of the brand name (maddco?)I think its called, tint? Something that starts with an "m". Is it any good?

 

get the 20%. it will look nice and not ghetto. i have 20% on majestic blue, its the titanium tint and it looks great. you can see out at night, but in the day all you can see is maybe my hand on the steering wheel. but i live in fl with the damn heat so the tint should look better if you live up north.

 

I got 15% silhoette tint on my white max and it looks NUTS!!!

 

I wanted to stay legal with my tint, so I did the legal limit here, which is 35%. It looks good, not very dark though. IMO go as dark as your local laws allow. If it's low enough, or you just don't care, I think 20% is probably as dark as I'd recommend.

 

i think 25% or 20% would be nice on frost interior. i also have frost interior but went with 35% on Sterling Mist. looks nice but looking back on it now i wish i would have gone darker(25%).

i say that because i realized after i got it done that a light interior will lesson the effect that u get with certain % of tint.

it still looks good, i like the way it looks from far away, but as i get closer i think, i should've went 25%.

good thing about it tho, the authorities don't hassel me. even some of them that go to the same gym tell me, i like your shade, it looks good on that silver.

btw ohio legal is 50%.

 

what tint looks good with grey lustre..?? i was thinking on getting 25%...anyone here from NY ever get a ticket for 25%..??

I have 20% Onyx tint by Madico on my rears. I guess the tint brand is ok, I'm not that knowledgeable about tints, but it seems to be holding up...

 

Any % tint will look good man...but it is all up to what you want. Try not to use terms like ghetto with the lil afro smiley. Could offend some members.

In VA, you can only get 50% on the front windows. I wish that I went 35% all around. I really wish I went 35/20 but I didn't want to get in trouble with the man. My advice is don't go higher than 35% and if you have a light interior, consider something darker. Look at a this scenario (in person) and you'll see what I mean. BTW, Cutlr7 has 35% all around on a white 5th gen. His interior is black. It looks gooooood.

 

Where I live, cops don't seem to care much about illegal tint (knock on wood) My car is black, but I have the lighter, tan interior, so its easy to see me in the day with the 20% tint. If I got another car with same interior color, I would but 15 on back window and 20s rest.

 

I am pretty sure you can get 35% all the way around in VA. When i got mine done a couple years ago that's what the place told me. I went 25% on my old one and never really got any hassle.

 

NO, the law is 50% in the front, but I should have (and may still) go to 35% in the front.
