yes that is a pretty stupid question considering it shows you a picture of where to do it ON THE JACK. but if you are using a floor lift, then use the subframe, not the metal flange things.

I wasn't looking to be insulted, just looking for a simple answer.

I just recently purchased my Max, was going to change oil and wondered where I should lift it with a floor jack. Do I lift one side put a jack stand under and lift the other? or do I lift by the bar in front center of the car?

by floor jack, do you mean a speed jack type? or the one that came with the car..or a real floor jack..when i put my max up on a real floor jack(the "H" configuration) i just use the subframe on either side...is that what u were asking ?

If all you're going to do is change the oil and filter just drive the front wheels up on to 2 x 6's. Two high if you're a bigger guy and need more room.

------------| (2nd 2 x 6)
-------------------| (1st 2 x 6)
--------------------------------------- (ground)

Yeah, I'm using a normal $50 2.5 ton floor jack. The reason I was asking, I'm used to RWD drive cars that have a portion of the frame that runs under the motor and you use that frame to jack up the car.

Now on the maxima I noticed a bar in the center of the car basically between the oil pan and the trans pan. I was wondering if the car can be jacked up with that.
