Has anyone tried the X-Pel headlight protectors for the '02 headlights?

Has anyone tried these covers from X-Pel? I was wondering if they stick on, or what. Also do they make the headlight look faded at all? I'm just worried that if I by them that they'll make the headlights smeared or blurred. If anyone has pictures can you post those too. There website has pictures but they aren't of a maxima. Any help would be appreciated.

He said protectors not projectors. He's talking about a protective clear film that protects the lenses.

If it helps, I have the X-Pel kit on my hood, mirrors, and fenders...and no rock chips...

What are you talking about? I never posted that!

I will have to delete that post...the one I never really posted.
I have an excuse for this though, I had only 4 hrs of sleep last night because of hw for school and it's midnight here and I have to wake up in 5.5 hrs.

I have this on my car. I did the Install myself. The material has a strong adhesive backing and once put one thats it, no removing it. The look is seamless and you have to look very closely to see that its on. At first it will leave a fog like residue but the heat will disapate the streaks you see. After 2 weeks the lights look seamless. Also you have to be patient when putting on. You spray a solution of 3parts water one part alcohol to the lens, then contour the material to the light. You also have to heat it up a little so that it becomes more plyable. Do not touch the sticky side due to the fact that your prints will become visible, that is why you spray the mixture so that you can adjust while contouring it to the lens. Look at my homepage for more detail.

Yes, I have the headlight kit on my max, the material is much thicker than the film used for the hood, bumper, mirrors. I would strongly recommend the entire kit..........i read thread after thread about the chips.........and the only chips on the front of my car (3) were there prior the installation of the expel kit. Also you cant see the covers it is seamless.

I strongly recomend you do not get it for your bumper....I have Xpel on....

My hood and mirrors. It is 8mm. The stuff that goes on your headlights is 14mm. DO NOT get it on your bumper. One ding and it is shot. The bumper has give to it and can easily be repaired with touch up paint and a nice art brush. A waste of money IMO.
