Is this usable for an ooglie CAI?
Is this usable for an ooglie CAI?
I was driving home today and I saw a box laying in the middle of the road. I stopped, picked it up and brought it in my car. It had no name or address, but I opened it up and it is 25 feet of 6" insulated A/C duct.

Would I be on crack to use this in an engine compartment to run a CAI from the splash guard to the air filter? The exterior is plastic bag material, insulated by a heavy amount of fill, with another layer of plastic surrounding the center core.
Will the plastic exterior instantly melt in the engine bay? And will the insulation serve it's purpose under the hood?

it looks like HVAC insulated duct. I would not use it - it could melt in the high engine temps. It's designed for attics which may top put at 160 degrees. Also, lotsa turbulence in it's interiot tract. just my .02 cents
