Just saw a new Nissan SHIFT commercial and at the end showed the Murano, Altima, 350Z and.... NO MAXIMA!!! What's the deal?

 

Yeah I saw that too...I dunno what's up with that..but only the Z, Altima and the Maxima have their own commercials. And the Maxima has 2 different commericals..hehe.

 

I like the commercial with the paint peeling off of the maxima at high speeds. If it comes on I stop and watch it then keep walking to my room when it goes off.

 

The Maxima is a lame duck... sad but true. They'll make cool new ads for it next summer.

 

The commercial is a 2k1! even the commercial is cost cutting...

 

Which one is a 2k1? The new one of the Maxima chasing the sun is a 2K2.

 

Our car is the bastard child of a car company who has more likeable offspring. It would just as soon forget they ever made it and focus on newer, image building, car o da year type stuff!

Ummmmm, have you seen the commercial??? That is a re-made commercial. They say 255hp and all that crap, but the car is a 2k1. Wrong shifter, wrong lights, and no HIDs. Take a closer look my friend.

It actually has the 2k2 headlights photoshopped on the front of the car.

 

dblrr900 you're right...but have to remember that all commercials are geared for a 12 year old who would never notice the difference...it's all about money!

 

Well, it has the HIDs, and the 2k2 tails. I don't remember if it has the 2k2 wheels or not, but i know it has the HIDs and the new front valence. And yes, I know it's a remade commercial.

Yup...only Maxima dorks would notice...

 

I think there was no Maxima in this one, because the Altima is completely redesigned, and the 350Z and Murano are new. I figure that because the Max didn't undergo major changes in 2K2 it wasn't in this commercial.

Hey I just saw that commercial again. You were right about the headlights. Funny thing is they are not HID, they just PhotoChopped the lights.

The rear lights are 2k1, and the interior shots are definitely 2k1. They are so cheap, they don't even want the Max in their fleet I think.
