TRANS AND SEAT PROBLEMS
Have a 2000 SE. What is Nissan saying about the 1st to 2nd gear lag in the Auto trans? I find that taking off the overdrive makes a difference. Is there any way of moving the seat tracks back on the manual seat adjustments to have about one inch more leg room? The seats don't go far back enough for tall people yet there seems to be plenty of room for them to do so.
as far as the trans goes, bring it to your local nissan dealer I'll attach the TCB so U can print it out. also on the seat checkout the clips on the bottom side of the seat and make sure they are not bent, also check to see the floormat don't get stuck in the track when the seat goes back.

Mikemike, I know how you feel about the seats. I had a 98Max
and found the seats went further back and the steering wheel higher. I just can't get comfortable in the new (2001 SE with power seats)on longer trips (BTW I am 6'4"). Talked to the dealer and he told me to take it to a shop which does mods for handicapped people. (He was serious).
I have to figure something out...It is driving me nuts

I am 6'3" and I have my seat all the way back and reclined quite a bit. My knees hit the steering wheel when getting in and out, but other than that, I find the seat comfortable. I had to play with the settings a bit, but I guess it is not too bad.
