loopback exhaust? i don't know what is this? pic

i saw this exhaust on the back end of an integra during morning traffic. this is the first i've seen one of these.
what the heck is this? i think it loops back around? thru two resonators? i don't know.
what would the benefits be?

you can see my car in the reflection on the corner of the bumper, with my flash going off. does that make it not OT?

Come on, whats with the ignorance here..

THat is the GREDDY exhaust which came out years ago..

What it does is double pass the exhaust through the chambers to quiet the exhaust down even more..

The integray guy is smart...

At least its not the loud obnoxious noisy exhausts

LOL...

The SAME thing goes on inside YOUR stock mufflers!!! You just have a tin can wrapped around it, so you don't see it.

I'm betting it's a heck of a lot quiter than the "straight through" louvered core design most guys run.

That is the fugliest thing I have ever seen its basically the design of a regular muffler without the metal part around it.

that is so not true,

This acts like two INLINE mufflers... with smooth bends..

INside a factory exhuasts, its not straight through..

What I meant to say is some stock mufflers use a zig zag path through the inside of the muffler. A difference is that they are perforated to allow sound waves to cancel each other out or have sound reducing packing.

While your more right than what I said in the previous post, it's not going to reduce back pressure the same as two TRUELY inline straight through mufflers.

The bends and changing direction will slow the exhaust velocity.

NO IT WONT.. You liar

The exhaust has mandrel bends and their not sharp either, thus it is very similar to the inline straight through idea..

It may be similar, but there is NO WAY that is less restrictive than a straight through muffler and resonator(ie another small muffler).

I'm not saying it's not worthwhile, just that it's a different mousetrap.
