outside air
I have an auto a/c. If I want the fan to blow in outside air, without heating or cooling it, how do I do it? I assume I hit the manual overide "mode", and don't engage either econ or auto. But it still shows a temp on the display. Is this temp ignored? (I want it ignored)

auto temp
Thats the only way we can get outside air, unless we open our sunroofs and windows. Just press the "Mode" button or even the "fan speed" button to turn it on and set it on the 1st fan speed. I find this better to heat the interior without blasting the hot air in "eco" mode.
Re: auto temp
If you put it to 65 in ECON it will bring in outside air without doing anything to it.
settings note:
the 65 and 85 temp settings are really the MIN and MAX settings, if you are in ECON which is just the heater and you put it to 85 it will use maximum heat and if you put it to 65 in ECON it will take in outside air.
If you are in AUTO and the outside temp is above 65 the 65 setting will be maximum cool since AUTO is the AC/Dehumidifier and 85 in AUTO will be heated and dehumidified air (unless its over 85 ouside, the it will just be dehumidified air).
If it's winter then 65 in AUTO will be dehumidified ouside air and 85 will be max heated and dehumidified air(best for defogging windows), also if it's below 25 degrees outside the AC will not turn on, even the AUTO mode will use just the basic heater.
(all this is somewhere in one of the manuals)

Thanks a lot. But doesn't it say setting the Temp below outside temp and using ECON can damage the system?

A good test for this is: when it's 30-40 degrees out put it to ECON 75, you get warm air, then put it to 65, you will get the freezing air, then put it to 66 - warm air again, the heater just turned on.
