clicking noises after 2,000 miles and H&Rs installed on 2k2

How is everybody doing?
I've had my H&Rs for 2,000 miles with stock shocks. The ride is pretty bouncy. But one thing I noticed last week while trying to parallel park in Chicago is when I have the steering wheel all to the way to either the left or right there is a clicking noise. It sounds like it coming from the steering wheel. Does anyone else have this problem?. On my 94 maxima se I had this problem but it was due the CV boots going bad. Could lowering my car wear out my CV boots? I wanted to delay getting new shocks until some adjustables came out. But it looks like I may have to buy the tokico blues.

I thought H&Rs are near stock quality. You say it is bouncy?

The ride is near stock and on most roads is fine. But when crusing on the highway it bounces like a yo-yo. If you plan on lowering your car get the shocks done at the same time.

Clicking noises

I have H&R's and for the first 2500 miles had the stock struts on but my car kept bottoming out so I replaced the rear only with KYB AGX 4th gen adjustable shocks. As far as the clicking goes my cv boot was damaged during the install of these springs which caused the clicking. The installer ripped it and paid for the new CV boot which took care of the clicking. After the install of these shocks the bottom out episodes are gone. The car rides great but you have to get used to the new ride. It bounces due to the fact that it is lower to the ground and handles more responsively. Once you mod, it changes the characteristics of your vehicle. Some for the good others not. You be the judge.

When you installed your H&R the first time with stock struts did you have one bump stop cut out on each one?

No; I did not have this done. And was told that this is not a good idea. It makes the bottom end of stut work harder or something to that effect. Someone else chime in to explain this. I asked to have the bump stops trimmed also and the guy advised me not to do this.

That explains why your bottoming out your struts. You should have had one bumpstop cut out of each one.
