None at all. In fact i didn't see what the big deal was on cooling the brakes. Being stuck at 1 and 2nd gear didn't really necessitate pumping the brakes the entire time.

I initially thought of doing it, but when i actually got the sticker... well, let's just say there's no way i'm putting a 14" x 3.5" sticker back there

Next time park the car and climb the mountain on FOOT!
I have climbed Mt. Washington numerous times, and even done a "Presidential Traverse", hiking from Madison to Webster via Adams, Jefferson, Clay, Washington, Monroe, Eisenhower, Pierce, and Jackson. This trip is 23 miles long, with about 12,000 feet of elevation gain (climbing Everest is only 11,000), and 15 miles of the trek is continuously above treeline (longest stretch east of the Rockies), which can be VERY dangerous with winds often in excess of 100mph. The trip across all those mountains was certainly a life highlight for me...and VERY VERY EXHAUSTING!!!!
The White Mountains are among the most beautiful areas in the US (that I have seen). Check out my website for some views!
Very cool trip...I am JEALOUS!! Maybe this summer for me!

What a gyp!
And by the way...when you climb it by foot, they do not give you anything! But you do get to "walk away" with quite an experience!!! Personally, I would not have wanted to carry anything more than what I had already.

Newman you just aren't contented are you? Wanna see a 46 minute in-car video of me and my fiance going up the mountain on the Max?
Boots, next time around i'd like to try hiking the trail and beyond. That must've been pretty cool

As for the video, i haven't converted it to PC useable format but i'm assuming it'll take more than a 100 megs. Gotta find a place to host it first.

Sorry for the double post!
One thing that you can do to prove you were at the summit is to sign the book at the ranger's station...I signed 9/9/00. The books are archived up there and you can look up any day for the past 50 some odd years or so. Other than that, a photo on the summit, or get on the summit-cam and have someone print out the picture from http://www.mountwashington.org/cam/northeast/index.html
This is one of the coolest things to do because it gives you proof of the weather too!!!
Congrats on the trip, and drop me a line if you ever want to hike in new england. I am a certified guide in the White Mountain National Forest (NH) for the Appalachian Mountain Club. I backpack all the time....hence the screen name!

I got up there roughly 15 minutes before closing time and for some reason the office was closed as well. I couldn't even find my way to the museum due to lack of visibility.
Here's a couple more photo's with me in it, the view should look familiar to those who've been up there As you can see i was not prepared for the icy weather up there.

Here's one of the Max 1/3 down the mountain:
