my first mod was a fstb then a y pipe, rsb, intake, udp, then finally new tires. if i could do it over again, i would get the rsb and fstb first followed by tires. then the y pipe and intake.

Thanks asu174 for answering my question. But i was wondering if you or anybody else could tell me what mod should i get first, because my max is stock right now. Any suggestions?

Drive fast: Y pipe or intake
Handle better: FSTB or springs
Look cool: Wheels or springs
You won't notice much of a difference with just the fstb. Here's a good mod listing.
1. Rear Sway Bar (RSB) It keeps the car from leaning. Most of us bought Addco RSB's from Cattman.com for $115. This is by far the best price/performance mod.
2. Either Warm or Cold air intake and Midpipe. Around $100 from Berktuning.com, frankencar.com or JWT. There's also Stillen and Firmfabrications. Injen or Place Racing for Cold Air Intakes. These are gonna cost you over $200.
3. Shocks and Springs.
4. FSTB
5. UDP
6. You decide from here.

i dont know why i was not paying attention that you had a 2k2. to my knowledge there is not a y pipe being produced for the 2k2 but im sure some things are in the works. virus laid out the order pretty well.

Ditto. I missed that part too. But I would buy springs before the RSB.

It was the first suspension mod that I did and it was all benefit, no trade off at all. I followed that up with Maxspeeds/Tokicos. While there was an improvement, it did not change the handling characteristics of the car nearly as dramatically as the RSB did.
Both the RSB and Springs coupled with new shocks give you instant gratification. I just had my H&R's springs and Tokico Blue shocks installed last weekend. $350 for installation is the cheapest I could find. Most places will not install them. That is why I suggested the RSB first.

Just curious, why would you suggest springs before RSB? When I installed the RSB my car went from understeering in a corner to now having a predictable oversteer. Much more fun

I have every bolt on BUT the RSB. I don't think I need it. My car handles like a mo fo, but I also have adjustable shocks. And I am gay.
