Help on steering wheel controls....

I have a 2003 Max SE... I took out the Bose radio and put in an Alpine head unit... I knew that I was going to lose the volume controls but I didn't know that the MPG/Trip ect. ect. wouldn't work either.. Did anyone else run into this problem when pulling out the factory head unit????

This will get a faster response in the Audio section. Do a search of the audio forum to see about steering wheel controls. I think this is what you will need to do though. http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....hreadid=159807

like MiniRX7 said, theres a wire were the old unit was plugged into, ur not using it anymore, its a brown wire with white on it, cut it, and ground it to a metal body, or screw or somehting..

SHould work fine,
if u want the controls to work you need the pac converter, im too lazy to take the console apart, so i dunno how well taht works...
