need help on choosing color of car
need help on choosing color of car
I am about to get a 2k3 SE i was thinking of either black on black or sterling mist on black can u even get that combo. Anyways i wanted to know some pros and cons of getting one in either color?
I have Majestic Blue and it's a pain to keep clean (dark blue - similar to black) but it's worth it when you see that baby shine. I'd say sterling mist is a great color because you see alot less (small chips/fine scratches)and it looks clean longer.
I've got black. It IS a pain to keep it clean, but man, does it look gooooood when it is..I just got done buffing off the Klasse SG I applied yesterday..boy does it shine!!
I'd say that black/majestic blue would require at least twice the effort to keep looking good as compared to the silver/grey type colors...chips scratches and swirl marks are much more noticeable on the dark colors....depends on how much time you have to spend..

pain vs. color
Having had a (midnight) black, then a (metallic dark) gray, and now a dark (majestic) blue car. I can definitely say the black was the hardest to keep clean. The gray was the easiest. And the blue is somewhere in the middle.
Obviously interior color is another issue. Lighter colors are hard to keep looking good, whereas dark hides things.
Depending on where you live you should consider the color choice and temperature. I had black with dark gray interior and that car got hot even in the winter. My gray had a blue/gray interior and was okay. The blue has a light interior but it gets dirty easy.
Hope this helps.

They do have sterling mist on black leather. The advantage of sterling mist is if you don't have lots of time to wash your car, it won't matter too much because you can barely tell it's dirty. The color looks nice with the rear tail lights too. With a black exterior, the tail lights stick out too much. Also, if you are thinking of getting clear corners, it makes the side of the sterling mist car look cleaner while it calls attention to the black exterior. The disadvantage of Sterling Mist is it seems as if everyone has one (especially in NJ)
I see less black 2k2/2k3 Maximas so if you want to have a color not too many people have, take that. With this Nissan paint everyone is complaining about, good luck with that black exterior.
I would reccommend gray lustre because that color looks so nice and it's in between sterling mist and black.
In the end, PICK WHAT YOU LIKE, NOT US.

If you are any bit **** bout how your car looks black will DRIVE YOU INSANE! I had a black truck and leased it for two years after a year it was so hard to keep clean I gave up. If you live in a warm climate its a bit better. I have the polished titanimum and I love it as do others.
