Ok....I've finally come to the conclusion that there are just certain "features" of the Maxima that are part of the car plain and simple..all the creaks and groans, noisy engine mounts, front seats that are loose, bumper/trunk scratches, slippy transmissions etc....oh yeah the lousy paint and glass....all normal features...but hey, what the hell, it has a world class engine in it.

Here is a new one....I'll try to explain it the best I can. Ther is a U turn that I take every day to go to my folks place...it is a right hand turn that sort of rises slightly as it is on a slight hill...if I take this turn with any amount of speed I get and feel this loud clunk from the middle of the car. If I have my foot on the brake a bit I feel it badly...If I take the u turn with a little bit of speed, it is fine. I dont think its the strut...feels more like car is bottoming out(which I hope it isnt)...

Any ideas? Is it because of the change in the height of the road surface while turning?? It isnt that drastic.
