Faster, Faster, Faster

OK. I know have some more money to spend on the max....I want some speed. I would really like to get a y-pipe, but I am not sure about the "speed addiction" one that JUICE introduced. If I get the y-pipe, but leave the stock CAT/B-pipe/and muffler.. would it really help. Also would it help to get a hi-flow cat, becuase i have heard some things on the org about it being useless on a 2k2. I was playing around on Warpspeed's website, and I noticed something called the "B-pipe fix". Has anyone done this?. Sorry for so many questions but this is the only place that I can get honest answers.

Sorry dude, don't know the answer to your question. But I sympathize. Whenever I post a question hardly anyone answers me. But someone can post the dumbest question and 20+ members respond eagerly and with lots of info.

Well, quite frankly it would be good if people would:

-USE THE FREAKING SEARCH FUNCTION
-read the FAQ's, etc. at the top of the 5th Gen forum
-consult the 'Misc.' forums for racing and dyno/timeslip info

and start putting two and two together...

find a car with performancve you like in the dyno/slip forum, check out it's mods, and then search on the mods in question...

Hey Bulldawg, a Y-Pipe is the best bang for the buck HP you can get, I know it is very effective on my 2K1. Even leaving the cats, b-pipe and muffler you will gain around 12-16 hp. On a stock 2k and 2K1 ( not sure about 2k2 ) the resonator has the input & ouput pipe crush like 1/2 of it size thus creating restriction, you can have the stock resonator remove and replace by a non crush pipe, it will certainly help the exhaust flow, but I would be surprise to see more that 2 or 3 hp gain there.

Cheers

Ok - I'll tell ya what. Send me $150 via paypal, I'll send you a new 2.5" b-pipe w/o the resonator. It'll eliminate the crimp, another restriction in your exhaust (resonator), and sound better. HOWEVER - that 2.5" isn't going to do squat for ya if you've got the stock y-pipe (2"), stock cat (2") and stock rear-section (2"). I've got well under $1000 in my car and I've increased about 15HP - with more to come with the speed-addiction y-pipe.
