I drive a 2001 Black Gxe Maxima so im wondering will this muffler fit on my car? Its a powertech muffler with dual 4" tips. Links on bottom. For my car would i Need a muffler with the inlet size at 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 inches? Do you guys recommend Powertech mufflers? and if so wat size dual tips? 3"? 3.5"? 4"? What would look better on my car im gonna have maxspeed springs on it and 18 inch rims so which size dual tips? and can you guys recommend other mufflers if you think others are better? like would the Obx duals with the square cut 3 inches fit? look good?

Can anyone reply to this thread? It seems liek whenever i have a question it doesnt get answered, but then i see a thread with like 50 reponses to something like " oh i beat this car blah blah blah."

And YES I have read plenty of posts on mufflers. Ive read some saying something about 2 1/4 inlet and some on 2 1/2 so I think it would be easier to just ask and find out. Instead of going in circles. So can someone please check the top of this thread and answer my questions? And if you are going to flame me u can *** off.. seriously and dont give me shiet about me being a newbie.. Ive been reading this board for over a yr now and i just dont post and i think my questions are pretty legit.

 

Should be 2¼". I've heard no problems with the mufflers and people seem to like them. As for looks that is entirely up to you. I think anything bigger than 3-3½ is too big, but hey thats just my opinion.

 

Sensoring some parts, my thoughts exactly.

I have heard Borla is a good muffler which I am currently considering. I think I will wait a few more weeks to test the bolt on muffler from Budget Exhaust (in Canada). It will be selling for under $300.00 Canadian (no competition can beat that price).
