HELP!! In dash CD player ate CD. AAAAAHHHHHH!
Before going to work this morning I wanted to listen to the Blueprint for the hundredth time as I sped off. Well I had a CD in tray 5 and proceeded to eject it with no problems. I grabbed the Blueprint and fought with the carrying case holding the Blueprint CD (approx 2 seconds). I then inserted the CD into the player quickly before the door on the player shut. As the CD loads I notice that instead of the CD player playing the CD in tray 5 it skips to tray 6 and begins to play. No big deal right, so I select CD 5. The CD in tray 6 keeps playing. I take a closer look on the display and notice that the player shows CDs in trays 1-4 and 6. I look in my lap and passenger seat to make sure I loaded the CD. Amazing how your emotions can turn from excitement to anger in a split second. I push the eject button and select CD 5 and the radio beeps at me. I try it again and same thing. I unload all the CDs in the player and when I get to CD 5 nothing happens (beep). I caught the CD player door before it closes and try to insert a CD in tray 5. As tray 5 comes up I can see the CD in there and the stupid player is playing peek-a-boo with me because I can see the CD and then it moves to another tray.
Does anybody know how to get the CD out? I am thinking of using tweezers but I don't want to mees up the changer as it moves to another tray. I tried to locate some screws or something to take the radio out but I had to get to work.
Sorry so long. This kinda thing makes my blood boil.

I'm not an audio expert, but I have had a similar experience with a JVC 12 disc. Do not use brute force to solve your problem. My JVC had a wire that I could unplug (from the changer) and when I plugged it back in (reset), it kicked out the magazine.
I'm not sure if this is the problem you're having; I hope it helps.
I know how you feel. I used to get so mad at that thing when it gave me problems.

I went back to my car and turned on the radio and the display showed that I had a CD in tray 5. I played it just to make sure. I guess it must have reset like you said. I turned the car off before and had the same problem. Perhaps I needed to remove the key out of the ignition. Thanks again.
