I have a quick question for you guys. What is the bulb size for the Xenon's on the 2002 Maximas? And no, not the imitaion crap but the stock xenons. I already tried doing a search but found nothing but bickering and bi*ching on what xenon and HID is and a bunch of BS. I am trying to replace my stock bulbs with different colored xenons but I just dont know what size to get them in.

If I'm not mistaken, it's D2R. (or is is D2S?)

 

Pretty sure it's D2R. D2R tends to be used mostly in reflector based HID whereas D2S tends to be used with projectors.

 

As stated they are defintely D2R.

 

So can we use HID bulbs from:
new Jaguars
TL's
Audi's
???

 

If they're D2R, then it would be a direct swap. Probably even the same bulbs in fact.. (If you want the bulbs from those cars, thinking they're bluer, it's probably an optical illusion. They're either A) Older bulbs that have experienced color shift, or B) the optics of the reflector/projector system creates more blue light near the cutoff)

If they're D2S, then you could modify the bulb a little and make it work in our housing, but the beam pattern won't be as nice.
