New Problems on 2002

I come to the mighty org for help. First question has to do with the clutch noise. I get this spring like ping when I disengage the clutch from 1st gear. This only happens once per startup. Is this the dieing squerrel noise that has been discussed to death on here.

Also when ever I make left hand turns I get this poping sound from the right side of the engine bay. Thanks for any help.

I have the same thing..only it's everytime i disengage the clutch. The faster i let it out, the less i hear. It's going in today to have the clutch disc replaced. Supposedly, with a modified disc.

doesn't sound like it

This doesn't sound like the clutch problem. It sounds more like a clutch pedal spring problem. I would have them look it over. It may be something needs to be lubricated. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replys.

Also could the CV Boot be the cause for the turning "popping" noise on left turns? And how would this of gone out so quick.

I don't think it is your CV boot. I have the same sound, comming from right front.
I thought it was the traverse link recall, but after they did the recall the sound was still there.

I am taking my car in soon, so they can take a look at it.

On the popping sound:

I had this in my AE. After multiple attemps, I finally replicated it for the Tech. Turned out to be the strut bearing (at least I think that is what it was called). Replacing it solved the problem. I remember several other people here had the problem and that is how I finally figured it out. I knew it wasn't a CV joint, but I couldn't pinpoint the source.

Funny thing is this...about two weeks ago, I heard the same noise from my 2K3 with 13000 miles.
