bright red rubber hoses and connectors? I think it looks really tacky, and would much prefer black hoses or something.

Anyone with an Injen unhappy with it for any reason?

I agree. I think the red makes a great contrast with all the other black hoses and the nice polished tube of the intake. I also have the Courtesy FSTB, with the red mounting plates. Looks sharp if you ask me. No problems with the Injen so far, but I live in Southern California where there's no weather to worry about.

I love my Injen intake. I have had no problems at all. I didn't think the red looked bad but when I installed it I had changed my mind about the red. It looks good when it's on the car.

I wanted to get a powdercoated blue one (to match my majestic blue car), but with the red hoses I think it would look way too ricey. Are there stock hoses I can use?

i'm just curious..what type of filter is on the injen?
is it wet? or dry? do i need to clean it or re-tack it? or just replace it every so often? if its that, how often do i need to replace it?

i have the injen but i didnt see any info about the filter, and that screen on it doesnt let me feel if it is wet or not.

thanks

The powdercoat blue with red hoses looks nice on a majestic blue. I've got the setup and continue to get many compliments on the look.

the injen filter is essentially the oil based ones just like the k&n filters.

yea, you re-oil it like k&n at their recommended intervals.. I forgot how many miles was it. I do it like every 30k or so.

Love my injen...over 5k miles on it..no problems.

Unfortunately I'm actually thinking of trading the max for a truck...i.e. Xterra SC, 4runner, w8 passat wagon....anything that can get me up to do some skiing!!!

apexi requires them to throw it away every 30k. That's 70 bucks every 30k

For those of you who bought an Injen CAI for the 02-03, it only came with 1 red silicone hose right?

I love the way mine looks. It's polished, and the red stuff matches the endplates on my Courtesy FSTB.
