FSTB advice on 2002

FSTB advice on 2002

i know i had to grind it so it wont hit the engine when in reverse but i been sandin and sandin and exactly how much am i suppose to shave off? anyone please?

If you dont extend it or sand it it hits the engine in reverse? Could this be the reason for why my car makes a really bad noise when going in reverse? thanks.

Yep, that's the manifold hitting the bar. Extending it will give enough clearance to avoid hitting the manifold whether while going forward or reverse. I tested this quite a bit a while back and having video's taping each run to make sure nothing else hits as a result.
