Cattman Gen2 Y-Pipe - Impressions & Pics
So, I haven't done the installation yet, but I do currently have the gen1 pipe on my Maxima and this pipe is much more impressive. Build quality, the flex section, and the 'straightness' of the airflow would appear to be significantly improved.
The flex section wins the big prize. Exceptionally flexible right out of the box. The gen1 pipe's flex didn't loosen up after several hundred miles of driving...I had to get under the car and jerk the thing back and forth to loosen it up and get the buzzing out. This gen2 pipe is flexible and nicely lined internally.
I posted pics on page four of my site:

P.S. You'll also notice a couple of shots of the new B&M shifter. I had family in town visiting this weekend or I would have done the work. I've put off the install of the pipe, shifter, and wrap until next weekend when I can dedicate some time to the work and a much needed oil change for me and my lady's vehicles.
I will follow-up on this thread next weekend with installation notes and first-drive experience with both the pipe and shifter.

Yeah, I just called in and ordered from Brian for $375. I'm not expecting to see significant performance gains from gen1 to gen2, if any, but I wanted to do the comparison regardless. There has been enough concern about failing flex sections during the time I purchased mine for me to go ahead and replace it. I'm also hoping that the new location of the hanger will have been placed with more research as the old hanger was too short and out of place. I'm all for buying a newer, better researched product as they become available.

B&M Shifter
Please let me know about the B&M shifter when you get it installed. I currently have a pacesetter as well, but I have heard a lot about the B&M. Where did you get it, and how much was it?
thanks
