Anyone have picks for removing the rear deck?

All the links that I came across in the search were dead (including the FAQ section).

I'm looking to take on that rattle this weekend!

Thanks!

Sure do, scale of 1-10 10 being the hardest, I rate this a 7. You have to take out the seats first, the plastics around the seats, the trim on both sides od the rear window. If you need diagrams, let me know. I think I might be able to e-mail them to you. I removed mine and put down some carpet like material and now not 1 Single rattle from the deck.

Could you guys share the info.

I once went as far as removing the rear seat and removing the black plastic screws in the black walling behind the seat but then got stuck on the next move.

thanx

I just cheated. I used peel-n-seal (poor mans dynamat) in the trunk, and sprayed insulation foam in the back declid between the metal and the decklid. Quiet!

I just installed Dynamat Xtreme on my rear deck a couple days ago. Removed everything the same way as listed above. The metal part of it stays on there, so I just dynamat'ed carefully around there. It got rid of pretty much all the rattles. There are still some things you can't fix, like the childseat anchors, trunk lid springs, etc...

Thanks Maxxximus! I'll bring my wireless laptop out to the garage and try the removal tomorrow!
