I had an 00 Accord with an AEM CAI w/K&N filter on it and it sounded great and loud AFT.. My friend had an Eclipes with an Injen and it wasn't that loud and I just bought an Injen for my 03 Max and it doesn't seem loud AFT.. So my question is does different AIR filters give different sound levels?? Are some quieter then others??

i cant vouch for the injen but ive had two different k&n filters on my intake and they do sound somewhat different. the open ended filter has a deeper tone compared to the regular conical filter of similar size. im sure the type of filter, mainly its construction (foam, cotton, paper) will affect the sound somewhat.

 

There is a difference in sounds but not that noticable. I had an injen and now put K&N on my car and there is a difference but not that big.
