I am going to trade a guy my eibach springs for his ground controls....he bought them from a guy who had them on his 2000 maxima and they wouldnt fit his 2k2 maxima when he tried to install them....he wants to do an even trade for my springs....does that sound right?....can the gc's fit the 2k2 maxima's?....thanks..

I got GC for my 99 and never intalled it on that car and then i did install it on my 2k2 so thats all bs.

maybe this guy just didnt know hwo to install them on his 2k2....so since the ground controls will fit MY car(a 2001)...should i just go ahead and do the trade????....because if they fit my car who cares..if they didnt fit his...

Well who knows why it didnt fit on his car. Hey it might even be the wrong part, so who knows. Give it a try if you can.

Aren't GC coilovers a s*** more than standard springs? Why would anyone do a straight trade when one is so much more than the other? Something doesn't seem right here, unless he stole them or something.

 

 

i talked to the guy and he said he could not get the gc's to fit around his stock shocks...is that normal?...so ill be doing ground control and tokico...YES I KNOW...tok's are OK..but hell...itll be good for now...i dont road race or nothing....i just cruise around and show off the ride..

Ground Controls are notorious for noise. They use a flawed design.

 

I had Ground Controls on my '02 max and i hated it. It made this noice whenever i went over a bump and when i made turns. I had them for 2mths and i threw them out for a set of H&Rs.

 

poly urethane bushings and wire wrap on the coils will deplete all noise.

 

I tried that. No such luck. They just don't sit right in the strut mounts.
