Side Steps..install!!! Help!!!!!

DOES ANYONE HAVE THE SIDE STEPS...AND IF YOU DO HOW DO YOU HOOK THEM UP TO YOU DOOR LIGHT...I KNOW HOW TO GET TO IT BUT WHEN I HOOK THEM UP THE SWITCH (THATS HITS THE DOOR)DOESN'T WORK...DOES THAT MEAN THAT THERE IS TO MUCH POWER GOIN TO IT!!!! AHHHHHH!!!! SO CONFUSED AND FRUSTRATED!!!!

I just installed the indiglo door sills this weekend so it is very fresh in my mind. Took a couple of times fine tuning it but but finally got it. The look great. Respond to this thread if help is still needed.

To hook the Indiglo to come on with the door lights it's much easier to tap it on the switch by the seatbelt. That way you don't have to worry about trying to get a wire from the door into the fire wall. Pull the molding off from the fire wall to the rear. 4 pieces. Very easy ones on floor pull straight up and the middle section pulls straight down. You need to run one wire from the black rubber switch that pushes in. You need to strip away the rubber shield from around both wires and tap the non-black wire I think it's blue. When the door is opened it sends a ground. You need to hook up a relay to switch it on. If any more info is needed just write back and I'll E-mail you the wiring diagram for the relay. Include E-mail address if additional info is needed.
