Cattman Y-Pipe and Greddy - PLEASE READ

Only org members with a Greddy Evo and Y-pipe reply...thanks in advance.

I know the y-pipe topic has been discussed to death, so read first and please no flak.

I have been thinking about purchasing a y-pipe for months, but am not sure how loud the combination of the two would be esp the droning inside the car at highway speed (70+) or street use. I have read almost all the threads about the y-pipe and everyone has suggested that it's loud. However, I don't recall reading one particularly about the combination I am interested in as every muffler/catback has a different sound. So here goes..

1. How loud with the Greddy Evo and y-pipe combination?
2. Is the HP and Torque worth the extra sound

Any additional information would be extremely helpful. Thanks in advance....

You probably won't get that many replies because the combination of a Y-pipe and a Greddy is just TOO FREAKING LOUD for most Maxima owners. Those who do reply and are running that combination are either deaf or on their way to becoming deaf, so they probably don't care how loud they are. But if you're not deaf or on your way to becoming deaf, you might care.

Caveat emptor!

I don't have the Greddy, but Y pipe alone isn't loud at all, in fact, it's nearly silent. I had mine installed a month ago and it's perfect, you can only hear it when you drop WOT. WIth a wider rear section though, you'll probably get some loudness.

I just put on my Greddy, and it isn't as loud as i expected it to be, but i can feel the difference in HP. You can only hear the Greddy from about 1500-3000 RPM's. Then the Intake takes over. The greddy/ Y pipe combo shouldn't be that loud? Ask Blake, he has this combo before, he told me it wasn't loud at all

It'll be plenty loud. Email me if you want to hear an exhaust clip of my car. I have the cattman cat-back and its supposedly one of the quieter ones.

Nope.. There's no resonator on my setup besides the lil one that the b-pipe on the greddy has. Don't wanna any air flow to be blocked for my boost
