I have the stock Toyo's on my 2k maxima. they're 16 inch and came with the factory 8 spoke rims. When I go to floor it the tires spin for a 4 or 5 seconds. I'm assuming this is not good for performance purposes. What brand of tires do you recommend I get? will 225's fit even though the tires that are on are 215?

If the stock 16" rims are 6.5" wide, then I don't know if 225 will fit very easily on them. If you want to keep the stock 16" rims, go with stickier tires. I have heard good things about Michelins.

You're gonna have some tire spin no matter what. It's the torque , not the tires. Try working the clutch (if you have a stick)
