I think that the trenz grill goes very well with your ride; I wonder how it will look on the Pearl Max?

I usually hate chrome but damn...looks pimp. I don't really like the pinstripe though. What kinda wax do you use?

the dealer had already put the pinstripe. i think i would prefer it better without too.

i've only waxed my max once w/ zymol (because i had a bottle around the house). as soon as this is up, i'm planning to switch to zaino.

Nice rims.. first time I've seen them in chrome on a car. Why not just take the pinstrip out if you don't like them? With just Zymol, that is what clean a$$ shine!

answers to some of the questions

thanks for all the props...i'm tryin. anyway, to answer a few of the questions.

i had to get the rims plated. evo5's do not come in chrome. it was a long wait...almost 3 months because one of the rims got bent in shipping back so they had to send another rim to get dipped. but, i think it was well worth it. it cost just a little over $3K for everything.

the molded CF dash is made by woodview (a canadian company). i ordered through autodash emporium. note: the dash kit is a synthetic CF.

CF door pilars were ordered through new england wood dash. note: these are real CF.

i only have a few paint chips so far...

from some of the comments, i think i may remove the pinstripes. has anyone done this before? same process as removing emblems? any tips?

trying to figure out what to do next. any suggestions?

.

yeah. hard wire your detector and get rid of that coil.

btw, i really like your dash kit. i think it's the first one i've seen that actually reaches to the edges of the window switch surrounds. very nice. i'll have to look into it.

got it through tirerack. cost was about $3K. couple of the salespersons that i dealt w/ first said they did not/would not send them to be plated. i kept calling back and finally found someone (luke) who said they'd take care of the shipping back and forth to get plated before sending me the wheels.

sup B? nice ride bro! is your car lowered in those pics? anyway, u should be able to just peel the pinstripe off and then take some type of compound(i dont know exactly what) to the remaining residue. just make sure you wax again afterwards. i removed the pinstripe off my car the day i bought it, so it may require more effort than that. see ya later.

Very nice ride, damn i love those Evo's. Does the X5 have chrome Evo's too ?? It kind of looks like it.

Note: There was a thread a couple weeks ago with a web link to a place that sold chrome evo's. I didn't feel like searching, but i remember seeing it.

Max looks really good!

That is one of the best maxima's I've ever seen. Your mods are difference makers and they compliment each other quite nice.

PS - Could you please forward me the info on the carbon fiber inserts?? I have been researching this for a while now. Are you happy with it? Is it high quality material?

Thanks,

PJ

the x5 has OEM 19" rims that has been plated. thanks for the props.

i think the website is highlinewheels.com that has the evo5's in chrome. but, i'm sure the company had them plated because it definitely doesn't come from italy chromed.

Nice...

Looks very nice. The H&Rs don't look like they lowered it enough. Maybe they'll settle with time or it's the angle on the driveway. Ditto all the others on the pinstripe...My 97 SE had one and myself and the fleet manager pulled them off right there at the dealer before I drove off when I bought the car!

Yes you can get the Evo's chromed from Mille, but only up to 18's... 19's have to be a custom job. Damn ! I was trying to be the first ORG member to BLING them out in Jan.. I guess not ! The look of the HEEZY ! I still dont like the grille. I went to Mossy and took pics back when they first got it on the Maxes.... Im waiting for something more like what Cwally has !..... Nice Whip man !

Very nice ride man. I love the rims. I got the evo 5's in alloy and love them long time. I was pondering the idea of getting them chromed out but i think for my set up they look just fine. I'm putting my Eibachs and Tokico's on by the end of the year. Then I will post more pics. Keep those rims clean and watch out for the curbs and pot holes. Check out my homepage if you get a chance. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
