MPG with intake

how low should my MPG go down if i have the berk intake with the berk midpipe on my 2k1 auto.

i filled gas today and i got 210 miles using 13.75 Gallons!!!....the last week i only drove in the city. could this be the reason?...can my intake really lower my MPG by a lot?, i dont really press more then 50% gas so my driving conditions are pretty normal lets just say

It should go up, however, I tend to be a little heavy footed now that it's on.

No, it is 'supposed' to raise your mpg, but I got mine installed yesterday and I seem to notice that I WOT all the time just to hear the sexy tone of my intake!

I have a 2k Auto with an Injen CAI intake and a Cattman y-pipe. When I first installed the intake I noticed a slight drop in MPG. I went from 22-23, down to 20-21. However after time it went back up to 23-24. Now I just installed the Cattman y-pipe and I haven't had it on long enough to calculate the MPG. I figure I will be getting less since I am heavy footing it like I did with my intake. But hopefully it should increase even more.

I don't understand why some people are getting such crappy mileage. I drive city and highway, but when I do drive all city I still get about 20 MPG.

yup. it's suppose to go up cuz it'll lean out the air/fuel mixture..BUT!!! since u'all drive like crazy fast once you install your intake, it should stay about the same!

I think you'll notice that while the highway est. mpg is pretty good, the est mpg city is way off. It also depends on if you run the oxiginated gas on the east coast. I usually get around 19-21 during city and rush hour and around 23-24 mixed. On the highways around DC I get around 26-27 highway. Down in Southern VA where they don't use oxiginated gas, I was getting around 32-34 in a 2k2 Auto! My car runs so much better when I get out of Northern VA.
