anyone with aftermarket springs, how bad is ur squeaking?

I've had ground controls and tokicos for more than 6 months now but lately it's been squeaking a lot. and it's coming from the front. in the past i had a problem with the rear and Y2KevSE pointed out it might be the rubber padding and it turned out that was it. Anyway I havne't got my car checked out yet but some people have told me it's normal, others say it's the tokicos, and others say it's the gc (ground controls). any opinions or comments would be grateful.

ps - yes i knwo there is suppose to be rattling and that's cool. the rattling isn't even that noticable.

how bad of a squeak we talkin about? the strange thing is my friend has gc and his doesn't squeak it's fine by me if it's normal but i honestly thought the squeaking i'm hearing is a bit too much. when i back up out of a parking space, u-turns. but if i'm driving fast and turning no squeaks.

ps - u a big initial d fan? u know they have that new arcade.

i have the exact same situation, and have to add more, when i passed the speed bumps, or dips. and right, when you are driving at normal speed, the sound just disappear! i asked too many suspension experts, they said it's normal! they said it might be the spring isolation (the rubber tube) but they said dont worry about them, it's normal.

I am a hella big Initial D fan!! the Sega one right?? it's too hard for me to play though!! =)

I've had mine about five months now...I did

the fronts myself then blanched when I looked at the rears with all that bracing around the rear upper shock mounts, wussed out & had that done for me.

I dont have any squeaks but I do have an ocassional soft, muted 'thump' from the rear when I go over a speedbump real slow or drop off a small 'ledge -as in the edge of a driveway..anything like 1" or so. It does'nt bother me and quite frankly, it seemes to me it was there before as well so...me happy.

mine (eibach and koni) squeaks when I go over bumps and do U turns. It was not so bad in the beginning. It got worst. I took of the wheels and spray some silicon lubricant onto the spring insulator and struts. Now the front is much better and most of the sqeaking noise comes from the rear now.
