K & N filter

is there a significant difference in power when using a k&n filter? I had one on my Vette, but I didn't notice much difference.

Just a K&N drop in panel filter? ...not much... slightly better throttle response perhaps...

same effect here, about 2 MPG better ... and a bit deeper growling in the 4-5K rpm range

Only in your mind or on a microscopically accurate dyno. Most likely not noticable!

I was going to try the K & N Filter but the guy at the performance shop talked me out of it. He said that he had a new type of filter called Green Filter. http://www.greenfilterusa.com/ They were both the same price so I decided to try it. I did notice a difference. It was like I didn't have an air filter in there. When I would stomp the gas and go through the gears, I could not really feel the difference but it was definately a little louder that the stock paper filter. I also did notice a little improvement in gas mileage as well.
