Remote Start (2003)
Winter is here and I need to hook up remote start to my new SE. I've done a search on remote start but couldn't find the info i need. Hope you guys can help me out. Probably going to install DEI 551R to work with my factory keyless. Anyone done this yet. I would really like to keep the factory keyless remote instead of going aftermarket, but I need to figure out what will be my trigger. Maybe a double pulse on the lock???? Any suggestions anyone???

Did you install yourself, or have someone else do it for you?
It's looking like a keyless w/ remote start may be the easier choice.
I think the 551 uses a single negative pulse also, so I wonder how yours is wired??

Didn't really care to replace the remotes with a full bore alarm.
Checked the remotes with the motor running and it still locks and unlocks the doors. (Checked after I posted) Only need to add 551t and 555u(immobilizer module)and I'm in business. If I had known the two post I posted on the subject were going to get some of the responses I've gotten (See other post, Factory Disarm wire) I would have never asked. The guys over at the12volt.com have been very helpful. Sorry to rant, but I thought I was going to be able to help a lot of the guys on here who didn't want to spend big bucks replacing there factory keyless with a full bore alarm to get remote start.

S/C was taken off since the snow was killing me in traction issues. I still have issues n/a. 19s just dont cut it.
