Foot Rest?

I have a 2003 GXE and I have wondered why Nissan does not have a foot rest where your left foot goes while driving. Does the other models have this. I have very light color carpet and it is constantly getting dirty because there is no foot rest where I place my left foot while driving. Any suggestions?

just buy a dead pedal from either a nissan dealer(the 350Z dead pedal) or aftermarket ones.
